Vitamin D may seem insignificant but it’s what I call a helper vitamin. It helps calcium be absorbed. It helps B work harder.
A mere 50 years ago we weren’t vitamin D deficient. We worked outside. Gardening, farming and even just playing. Now . . .
Of course the best source of vitamin D is that big fire star we call the sun. A few minutes a day.
Yet, since vitamin D is such a helper, supplements that include it in it’s helper role are very beneficial. But don’t use that as an excuse to stay inside.
Vitamin D helps in healing. Had an injury? Feeling down?
Take a walk with an apple, a banana and a bottle of water. Walk until the fruit is gone and the water is half gone. Finish the water on the way back. It’s not long but you’ve gained fruit (fiber and a multitude of vitamins) and water plus a bit of Vitamin D.
Follow with a vitamin rich smoothie.
Not only is it important to replace the electrolytes but the vitamins you just used. Top your tank off so to speak.
